Obituary of Jeffrey Allan Lovett
Jeffrey Allan Lovett, age 45, known affectionately as “Lovey” passed away on July 15, 2024, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Born in Elmira to Fred Clayton Lovett and Rose Marie Kehan, Jeff was a lifelong resident of Elmira, NY, and a pillar of the community that he loved so dearly. Jeff’s early years were shared with his siblings, Joseph, Pip, and Laura, creating a tapestry of memories filled with laughter and camaraderie. A graduate of Southside Highschool, he spent many years cooking in Moretti’s kitchen and spreading light to the consumers at Able 2. Jeff moved on to follow in his father’s footsteps, finding a career at Kennedy Valve where he built lifelong friendships. Jeff is survived by his three beautiful children, Maliyah, McKenna, and Brazen. Each of them will remember their father for his boundless energy, whether he was teaching them to fish, cheering from the sidelines at their games, building Legos, or taking long bike rides. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff found solace in the serenity of nature. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and exploring the river with his children and friends. His home was filled with sounds of happiness, laughter, and positivity. Jeff’s spirit extended beyond his family. He loved time spent with his nieces and nephews Kalie, Matt, Emily, and Elijah. He was the life of the party, where he always brought joy and laughter. Jeff loved to crack jokes, sing, dance and do one heck of a Kermit the Frog impression. He had an abundance of friends who cherished his presence. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 4, 2024, at 3:00pm at the Horseheads Elks Lodge, 6 Prospect Hill Rd. Horseheads, NY. Jeffrey A. Lovett’s story is one of dedication, love and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow for generations to come.
