Obituary of Dennis S. Savino
Dennis Savino went home to be with his Lord and Savior January 11, 2023. Dennis was born May 23, 1950, to his parents Rocco and Mary Savino in Elmira, NY. He graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1963. He and his wife Diane were married August 1, 1981. Dennis managed and co-owned the Mohawk Market and Bakery in Elmira, NY until it's closing in 1978 when he began working as the Lance Snack salesman in Elmira and later transferred to the St. Pete, Clearwater area as a route supervisor in 1991. He then became a property manager for multiple beach condo properties on the Gulf coast of Florida until retiring in 2016. They returned to Elmira to be near family in 2016. He was an Elder at Harvest Temple Church of God in Largo Florida and helped establish the House of Prayer in Largo FL.
He loved spending time at the beautiful beaches. He loved John Wayne and collected all his movies and anything The Duke. He loved animals especially Great Danes, horses, and especially his best bird buddy, Louie.
Dennis is survived by his wife Diane; sister and brother-in-law Linda and James Collins of Elmira, NY; sister Blanche Pirozzolo of Horseheads, NY; sisters-in-law, Catherine Collins of Baldwinsville, NY and Susan Savino of Elmira; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Janet Savino, Joseph and Betty Savino, Roy Savino, sisters and brothers-in-law Mary (Babe) and James Agan, Theresa and William Gamer, James Pirozzolo.
Dennis, you finished the race. You fought the good fight. Rest in the arms of our Lord until we meet again.
