I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Mrs Hart. She was an extraordinary woman and teacher and I will never forget her. She taught us foldable method of taking notes and I have use that method in planning for life events. She gave more than she will ever know and made sure we were safe in and out of the class room.

We are so deeply saddened by Rachael's passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to Neil and family. Rachael was like sunshine when she entered a room and you immediately wanted to bask in her glow. She was an amazing friend to my sister Val and loved by all who had the great fortune of ever meeting her. Gone tragically too soon and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Sue & Peter Robinson

Rachael, you were one of the best of us on the Women's Center Board. Whatever you added to the discussion - it was with wit and wisdom! I always enjoyed your presence and participation and found you a warm and sensitive woman.
You were taken from us too soon but your illness and death reminds us all how precious life is. My prayers go out to you and your family.
God bless you all, LeighAnn

Rachael was one of my my first crushes, only problem was she an older woman and I was 5 years old. I lost her to a good man :). I then focused my attention on Nancy, but lost her to another good man. The Orsattis, my Grandma's next door neighbors, were an extension of our family. Rachael & Nancy babysat & played with me, played music for me, while Aunt Carol & Uncle Ro fed me & showered me with love. I saw the picture in the Waterbury paper & it took a beat before I realized it was Rachael. I am so very sorry for your cruel loss. It seems Rachael had a pretty amazing life. I'm so sorry that cancer took away another amazing person. Neil, Nancy, & Ed: I send you and your families love & sympathy. When my parents hear this horrible news in the morning they'll be so sad.

I was the secretary at NAB for 14 years. Rachael was one of my first friends at Northside and I loved and respected her so much! We talked almost every day while we both worked there and I really missed her when she moved on. So sorry for your loss as I know how much her family meant to her. She was truly one of the most wonderful women I have ever had the pleasure knowing. Bless you all!

My heart is so sad. Rachael was the first teacher to treat me like a man, not just an administrator. She always had advice for me and was not afraid to let me hear it. Haha she made me smile. She often took a red pen and corrected my memos to the staff; grammatically and content wise. I loved this woman!! She just had that charm to disarm you and make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She smothered you with love and sprinkled a heavy dose of reality and wisdom in the mix. I learned more from her about how to manage people than anyone else. She was honest and always kind. I will miss her and this news left a big hole in my heart. I hope we all can carry on the lessons Rachael taught us all.

I have such wonderful memories of Rachel from our time as colleagues at East, but especially after her retirement, when she would regularly host dinner for me and our fellow girlfriends. We had so many wonderful nights in her garden in West Elmira, where she would share her experiences and wisdom with us twenty-something girls. She spoke to us about teaching, marriage, children, and we listened with eager ears. She always reminded me of a younger version of my own Nonna, so nurturing but strong, so caring but firm. She was a class act; we were all so lucky for having her in our lives.
