I will miss visiting with Aunt Catherine whenever I was in Elmira. When they were at Woodbrook she and my Mom lived across the hall from each other. During the Pandemic they would each open their doors and have cocktails together at happy hour. I’m happy to have this memory. Fly high Aunt Catherine

When I was very young, 7 or 8, Aunt Catherine bought herself and I season tickets to the children's shows performed at the Clemons Center. I remember the excitement I felt all dressed up and waiting for her to pick me up. I distinctly remember seeing Hansel and Gretel. I was amazed at how they used stage lights to make "candy stains" on the costumes. Many years later, Aunt Catherine came to Rochester to see my daughter perform in the Nutcracker. It was a lovely full circle moment.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MY AUNT CATHERINES PASSING. WE BECAME CLOSE OVER THE YEARS. SHE HAD A VERY SUBTLE SENSE OF HUMOR AND A WONDERFUL LAUGH. SHE HAD A REMARKABLE MEMORY AND WAS DEFINITELY THE FAMILY HISTORIAN. SHE HAD NO PROBLEM CORRECTING MY GRAMMAR WICH UNFORTUNATELY WAS QUITE OFTEN. SHE HAD A UNSHAKABLE FAITH IN HER CATHOLIC BELIEFS. SHE LEFT THIS WORLD ON HER OWN TERMS. I WILL MISS MY FRIEND.

Dear Bob and Lorrie. I was very sorry to read of the passing of your mother. Your parents sure built a quality business that has served Elmira for decades and you continued that fine tradition. Condolences to you and to your family.
