We were shocked and deeply deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved cousin Kathleen. Over many years, she has become not only our friend, but our confident, and of course, extended family cousin. Her love of dogs, animals in general, but especially our dog. Bernie was deeply appreciated and I know that she enjoyed taking care of them on occasion. While we lived many miles away, we often enjoyed sharing Conversations about life events. It is with a heavy heart that we remember her wonderful sense of humor and wisdom.

I went on Facebook to wish Kathy a belated Birthday. I was in shock to see she has passed . I live out of town and don’t see obits .
Kathy was the kindest , sweetest , most caring , generous person I’ve ever met. We worked at the phone company. I am so lucky to have known her and grateful for all she blessed me with . You are so missed . I can still hear her laugh . Rest in peace dear heart . You were an angel on earth and now in heaven . My thoughts and prayers to her family .

Kathy was my best friend growing up. We walked to St Mary’s school together from 6th grade on and the on to Notre Dame together. I knew her family well , as I spent a lot of time there with sleepovers and teenage girls pizza parties in her basement. Mrs Madigan was a great cook and I think of the whole family with great fondness.
When we graduated from high school , we took a bus trip to visit her Aunt in Washington , D.C.It was a great adventure for us both.
The last time I saw Kathy was at my wedding and eventually moved away.
We have not been in contact over many years but I often thought of her and would always say when asked -she was my best friend growing up and I can’t explain the sadness I feel now that we have lost her.
Kathy was special but she was especially important to me at a time of life when having a best friend was crucial . I wish I could tell her how much she meant to me.

Just today I found out about Kathleen’s passing. She was my cousin. Though being distant from Elmira and losing touch with Kathleen I have many memories of her. Each and every one of those memories is a happy memory. I feel very fortunate to have had Kathleen in my life. I am keeping good thoughts for Kathleen and for my cousin Johnny and his family. I am at a complete loss. Kathy was my neighbor and friend for over 15 years. We spoke all the time, checking up on each other. She was a special lady and friend. She had a special friendship with my husband Troy and since his passing we would always speak of him. She knew she could count on him at a moments notice. She got to know my family and my nephews. She'd ask about them. And of course the dogs. She'd throw treats over the fence for them to find. I've been lucky to have great neighbors, that led to wonderful friendships. Kathy, I will watch a Denzel and Idris movie in your honor. And I will look for our cardinals, Edna & Usher , to visit the yard. Give a hug to my Troy, I can hear him now.. Thanks for all the great years in the neighborhood. Love you my friend. Peace be with you.

I am so happy that I could call you friend. I do hope you have found peace and contentment, and I thank you for the many prayers you prayed for us. I will never forget the delight on your face the day you came and fed the chickadees. Love you forever, the other KAM.

Kathy loved her family and, after so many years at Telco, her job at Riverside School. I'd bump into her there from time to time. She was always beaming with joy. Talking about "her kids".
She will always be a refreshing gem in my memories.

After reading Kathy’s obituary, I saw how it described her exactly as she was. I’ve known her from the phone company since 1972. I consider myself lucky to be her friend, and recently heard from her about a month ago. My sympathy goes out to John, Mary and Kylie, for their loss. You all have a beautiful angel watching over you! RIP Kathy!
