Freeman (Pine City, NY); step-mother Kay Hughes (Burdett, NY); brothers, Timothy M. Hughes with Kim Cady (Montour Falls, NY); Gary E. Hughes with Jane Simpson (Waverly, NY); sisters, Christine M. As a teenager, Kenny had a passion for cars and dreamt of owning his own business. He successfully achieved that dream with the help and support of his beloved wife Christy, always by his side. Over the next 40 years, that business grew and flourished.
Kenny was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Poppa), brother, uncle, and son. He had an endless love for his family and a passion for life. He enjoyed the people he met each day through his business. He loved animals, especially his kitty Twinky. Kenny was a mentor to his children and to others as well. His sense of humor was contagious.
God blessed Kenny with a genuine spirit of love and compassion for all. He treated everyone he met equally, and his quiet good deeds were a testament to those fundamental values he learned as a child. He proved every day that it was better to give than to receive. Kenny was an organ donor, a giver to the end, but medical problems prevented that. His family learned so much from him and now we will have to learn to live without him. Go with the angels, Kenny, until we all meet again.
