Bridget Anne is survived by her loving husband of forty-one years, Weeden A. Wetmore; her children, Emily A. (Jason) DeJiacomo of Gainesville, Georgia, Laura E.W. (Austin) Clouse of Boston, Massachusetts, and Joel A. (Lauren) Wetmore of Boston, Massachusetts;  grandchildren, Mason D., Isabella A., and Cason J. (Scott Lindberg) Wetmore of Boston, Massachusetts; step-mother Carol B. Wetmore of Andover, New Jersey; and all her nieces and nephews.

Bridget Anne was a devout Roman Catholic who celebrated Mass for years at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Elmira’s Southside where she grew up and lived much of her young adult life. She later celebrated Mass at various Catholic Churches and Chapels throughout the area. She graduated from Elmira Notre Dame High School and then Rosary Hill College in Amherst, New York. She spent over forty years teaching in the public and Catholic school systems and left her impression on numerous students and people throughout the years. She loved following her children’s participation in competitive high school and collegiate sports, and spent many weekends traveling with her husband up and down the east coast, as well as into Canada, to cheer on her children. More recently, Bridget Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband to Massachusetts and Georgia to see her children and grandchildren. She spent many evenings with her husband and friends, enjoying great food, live music, conversation, and lively debate.

Besides her family, Bridget Anne’s passion was her Catholic faith and fostering a devotion to Immaculate Mary, Saint Joseph, and Saint Charbel. She devoted much of her time to the Perpetual Adoration at St. Casimir’s Church in Elmira, and more recently organized and participated in Rosary rallies. She recited the Rosary daily and believed in the power of daily prayer.

In addition to her family and friends, Bridget Anne will be deeply missed by everyone who crossed paths with her, especially those in the Catholic and Law Enforcement Communities.
