I met Joanne when we were Freshman roommates at Hahnemann. We lost contact over the years but my memories of her are clear-she was smart, an excellent nurse and lots of fun. I’m happy to see she and Brian have a big, beautiful family that will be her legacy along with her lifetime of care for her patients.

Words fail to explain how much I loved Joanne. She was a mentor, a friend, a mother figure, my cheerleader, and had the gift of no nonsense loving wisdom. She also gave me the gift to be a part of the Casey family in my younger years. But her trust and friendship endured the test of many decades and I could go months, and in some cases years, and then visit Joanne and it was exactly like it was decades ago. She will always have a special spot, a candle in my heart. I am a better mother, friend and human being because of her. I will always love you, Joanne. Sending so many prayers to Brian, Kerri, Colleen and Sean and their families.

Lots of great memories of Brian and Joanne when I was young. Always smiling and full of wisdom. Her kids came along and their life was full. Love that they raised some beautiful children that have hearts as big as hers. And no doubt they will carry a legacy of love for life and care for others just like she showed them. A mom is a forever stamp on your life and she left a big imprint. I will forever remember her as a woman who put her children first and cared for so many. Rest in peace Joanne. Thank you for the incredible nieces and nephew you left me with and for being a wife to my brother for so many years! Watch over them all with much love and let them know they are special every day.
