Hillary and I (and your son in laws and grandchildren) will miss you so much Dad/Grandpa. Gary and I were on the EFA track and cross country teams along with David Hertzog and John Lawless. The four of us spent a lot of time together, and those times were some of the best times in my memory. In his kind and quiet way, Gary was a terrific friend. I regret that circumstances and geography seperated the four of us, but I am happy to learn about his terrific family

My condolences to Debbie and the entire Geiger family.
I have been friends with Gary since high school at EFA. His parents welcomed his, and his sister's Missy's friends into their house, and made it a special place to visit. Gary had the same open spirit, sense of hospitality and commitment to public service. His enthusiasm made getting together enjoyable whether it was just hanging out, going to the races at Watkins Glen, visiting him when he lived in New Orleans or enjoying his and Debbie's hospitality on a visit to Elmira.
I am fortunate to have had you as a friend, Gary.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Gary. I remember when you all came to Boston about 30 years ago. I think you had just been to Disney World. I remember Gary wearing Mickey Mouse ears on his head! I could tell that he was really into being a father❤️

I met Gary as a member of the EFA Track and Cross Country Teams. We became lifelong friends. Any time any of us old teammates got together, we would run an 'old timer's mile.'
