Kristen was always somehow a part of my life since we were young girls. She could make me laugh and I could make her laugh! We had deep talks as well as lighthearted ones. Her intellect was incredible and how she put her thoughts into words was unmatched by anyone. We had some great conversations in the last few years and I will always cherish those times. Rest in peace, Kristen. The Blessed Mother was waiting for you with open arms.

Kristen was my lifelong friend. We knew each other back in elementary school but really became fast friends in high school. Kristen and I were as close as we could be, sharing our graduation party, attending proms together, and carousing around Elmira with our gang. Our friendship lasted way beyond high school, a relationship that extended almost another ten years doing road trips, attending concerts, and just hanging out. After leaving New York in '93, we still spoke on the phone here and there, both of us married eventually, but maintained contact and laughed about all of our misadventures over the years. Thankfully, Kristen and I reunited on several occasions in the last few years and got to spend quality time in Florida together recently. She even bought me Cheez-its and Twizzlers because she remembered my favorite snacks from back in high school. Wow! I never thought those would be the last times I would see her. I can't even put into words how much she meant to me, and my history is so intertwined with hers because we shared so much of our lives together. I will miss you Kristen. Thanks for a lifetime of memories.

We first met Kristen when we moved to Elmira in 1975. She and our daughter Tory became friends in the 4th grade at Henry School.
Kristen always made all of us laugh. We are so glad they were friends.
Our hearts go out to John and Kira.

I first met Kristen at the beginning of our high school freshman year in Latin class. Kristen befriended me; she was so kind. After that, all my high school memories centered around her. I have never experienced fun the way I did with Kristen. Our frequent sleep-overs always involved staying up all night and laughing until we cried. We watched so many movies and ate our way through several bags of Doritos and M& M's. I remember fighting to keep my eyes open when the nights grew late and Kristen got around to philosophizing. Kristen would not let me sleep because she wanted feedback on her many brilliant thoughts and ideas. These memorable nights often included Kristen's parents, whose jocular nature supplemented the good time; it was obvious how appreciative Kristen was that her parents got involved in our fun. Many days of the week, Kristen and I spoke on the phone for several hours at a time, talking about absolutely everything. We also had many, many hysterical adventures out on the town. When I think of my four high school years, it is always Kristen that embodies that time for me. She was an excellent friend and my teenage years were full of happiness because of her. I am forever grateful for the pure happiness Kristen (and her parents) brought to my life.
