Everett B. Bennett Elmira: Age 98, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center - SNF. Everett was born January 23, 1912, in Elmira, the son of Joseph and Alice Louise Reynolds Bennett. He was predeceased by his wife Signe Lindberg Bennett, son Bruce, second wife Phyllis Crandall Bennett, grandsons David and Steven Bennett, and brother and sister-in-law Reynolds and Catherine Bennett. He is survived by grandson William Bennett, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends Kate and Peter Buckley and their children, and Bob Walsh. At the age of 16, Everett attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1932 with a bachelor's degree in Economics. Ebb had a 30 year career as an accountant with Harbison-Walker Refractories in Cape May, NJ. Ebb lived a rich and full life, surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed many happy days raising his family in Cape May, NJ, returning to his hometown of Elmira and residing on West Clinton Street during his later years, and vacationing in Florida. Ebb was grateful for the wonderful care that he received at Woodbrook and the Arnot Ogden Skilled Nursing Unit. Ebb's wit and humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a burial service in Cape May, NJ at a future date.
