Reggie and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Tim's death. I'm in Florida or else I would be there for the funeral. Denny always had a bond with Tim because they were both wrestlers and I remember some of those trips to his meets. He was also our babysitter at times as was all of your children. Denny died on Jan. 10th at the age of 62 just a day after Tim and Ed, Denny and Tim are back together again. Love, Dee Middaugh

Unfortunately, I can't be in town for Tim's funeral but I can tell you all that I could never and will never forget him and, though I can't be there, I decided to share just a couple of thoughts about Tim that came to my mind right away. The 1st one is about the last time I saw Tim which was before COVID in Elmira. We ran into each other and had a brief but very pleasant conversation. He looked really good and was in a jovial mood and the 2 of us had a nice time reminiscing about years past. And, of course, when I think of Tim I also recall a few times when Mike took me to see him wrestle. I was not a wrestler but it was obvious to anyone with eyes that Tim was so very smooth and gifted! And one time (probably in the late '70s), I was being a wiseass to Tim, and, though I was his elder (by 4 years, I think), he wrestled me down in the front yard at the Dean's home on Erie St. (easily, of course) and turned me into a pretzel while pulling on my mustache. He was easy on me though and it still cracks me up when I think of it. On a much more serious note, I realize that Tim is going to be missed terribly. I remember him as being a very unique and larger-than-life individual and I'm very sad for all of you who were closest to him, especially his immediate and extended family. To all of you, I think of you often and I offer my deepest sympathies -

No one had as great a sense of humor as Tim. He was my arch nemesis in Trivia and named me “Weasel”. Tim had the most devoted love for his Mother and daughter April, who was the light of his life. Gone way too soon, but hoping you stir things up in Heaven with your wit and wisdom. You were my very dear friend.

Q: What will you never forget about Timothy?
A: I’ll never forget uncle Timmy’s contagious smile and laugh… however it’s impossible to remember that smile without remembering how he would pop his front tooth out at family get togethers to get a reaction out of his nieces and nephews! On a more serious note- I’ll never forget how kind and caring Uncle Tim was, how he always lit up when seeing us as kids, & all his stories about his adventures in wrestling. I will also never forget when Grandpa made all of us scrub out Uncle Tims car dealership on the miracle mile- nothing like free child labor to get the place up and running!!! Uncle Tim- you were greatly loved and you will be forever missed. Give Grandpa a great big hug for me!! -Love always, Muammar Qaddafi (to anyone else- Missy)

I am shocked by this news. I had no idea he was sick. I feel so badly that i didn’t talk with him recently. Tim was a great guy, his own person, doing it his way, and i was privileged to know him. I was a classmate and teammate with Tim at Clemson and even visited Elmira.
