Obituary of Thomas Edward Hannah

Age 60, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Tom was born in Lackawanna NY, son of the late William H. and Blanche Hannah. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother John Hannah. Tom is survived by his wife and companion of 22 years, Bernadette Tauterouff Hannah; son Thomas E. Hannah Jr. at home; stepchildren, Elmer (Heather) Hyde III, Katrina (David) Samuels, Alysia Hyde; brothers, Robert Hannah of Forestville NY and William (Diane) Hannah of Arkansas; father-in-law Anthony LaTorrey; mother-in-law Alana LaTorrey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard (Jennifer) Tauterouff, James LaTorrey, Peggyann (Eric) Davies and Kim (Albert) Demchak; 15 grandchildren; soon to be 1 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Tom has a 35-year career as a New York State Corrections Officer with the last 25 years working at the Southport Correctional Facility. He was all about football. Tom enjoyed fantasy football and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 5:00. After the funeral service all are invited to the Pine City Christian Church, 1456 Pennsylvania Ave., Pine City for a reception and to continue to celebrate Tom’s life.
