George, I will always remember you fondly. You were a great neighbor!! I loved visiting with you and seeing you come up Steele with your long walking stick and your binoculars around your neck.
I will remember your pine tree with lights in the side yard and your lighted Christmas tree in the shed window. I always knew Christmas was around the corner when I saw those when I came home from work.
Also, the Halloween lights in your front window.
Thank you for always signing the petitions every year. Always gave me another chance to catch up with you.
I will miss picking the rhubarb for your favorite rhubarb pie - - - not so much but you liked the strawberry parts.
Thank you for all the education about birds. I will always think of you when I see a different one and I know you would have been able to tell me what kind it was as you did many times. Who knew that mallards really do not have green heads - - - it is just the sunlight and our eyes that make them look that way.
Baking will not seem the same without being able to drop off something that I know you would enjoy. I loved calling and you saying “Well I guess I could take some Banana Nut Bread”.
You are with Jean now and you no longer have to cook - -
