Obituary of Robert Charles Baldwin

Age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2022, after a long illness. Bob was born in Grand Rapids MI a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Sherry) Baldwin. He is also predeceased by his brother Barry Baldwin. Bob is survived by his wife of forty-one years Joy Nickerson Baldwin; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Dale Warner; along with many nieces and nephews. Bob graduated from Vestal High School, then received a degree in fine arts from Binghamton University. He served in the US Navy from 1965 – 1969. Bob retired from the Corning Incorporated Aviation Department where he served as an airplane Captain and Chief Pilot. Bob was a multi-talented artist, guitarist and aviator. His love for aviation was a life-long passion. He was also an award winning artist whose depth of talent was appreciated by so many. He will be greatly missed. Private services will be held.
