Obituary of Ruth Lois Bauman

Ruth Lois Bauman Texas: age 87, formerly of Elmira, passed away on December 1, 2010, in the company of family members in Dallas, Texas. Born March 10, 1923, Ruth spent most of her life in Elmira, NY, where she was born and raised by her late parents Lemuel and Nora Crum. She attended Elmira Southside High School and finished her educational studies at Elmira College. Ruth's love for the city of Elmira was evident by her involvement in some local organizations such as member of the Board of Directors LPGA Corning Classic, Arnot Ogden Medical Center Auxiliary Board, Elmira Country Club and Elmira City Club. Ruth is survived by her son Gregory Bauman and his children Glenn and Savanna, her son Michael Bauman and his wife Tonya with their children Shayna and Chelsea. She is also survived by her brother in-law John Dytman. Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Charles R Bauman and her sister Marjorie L. Dytman. A service will be held at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts., with fellowship and visiting before the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family in celebrating Ruth's life. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests you make a donation in Ruth's name to either Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira NY 14905 or Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P O Box 1306, Elmira NY 14902.
