The Social Studies Department of Horseheads High School would like to announce the creation of a one-time scholarship in honor of our former colleague who passed away earlier this month, Ann Whitney Those who knew Ann remember her as the advisor to the HHS Academic Challenge Team and that she was very passionate about politics. We have decided to provide a one- time scholarship to a senior member of the Academic Challenge Team pursuing a degree in the social sciences. We will be developing the details of the criteria soon. We wanted to do something special as we fondly remember Ann and all her contributions to Horseheads High School. The Scholarship will be awarded at the June Senior Awards ceremony. Sending our heartfelt condolences to all of Ann's Family from the Social Studies department at Horseheads High School. It is with a heavy heart I learned of Ann’s passing. Her kindness will leave its imprint on many who loved and knew her. With a heavy heart, I read Ann’s obituary and know that she truly made a difference in our world. God bless Ann’s family, sending comforting prayers and condolences. In high school Ann and I would envy each other’s hair. I wanted her hair, she mine! We shared lots fun rides around town, listening To music & of course, talking about boys. God bless Ann.
