Obituary of Mary C. Masone

Elmira: Age 75, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Monday, September 20, 2021. Mary was born and raised in Elmira a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Sipka) Osman. She is survived by her daughter Charlene Masone with Michael Spallone and their three sons, Nicholas Spallone with Jennifer Jernberg, and his daughter Liliana Joél…..Christopher Spallone with Bridget Zimmer and their son Skyler Michael….. Vincent Spallone; sister Arlene Boulas of Horseheads; nieces and nephews, Leonard Boulas, Ellen Clark, Barbara Fraley, Karen Boulas, and Michael (Brenda) Boulas; great-nephew Kevin Boulas; along with several other great-nephews, great-nieces and several close friends. Mary worked as a secretary for I. D. Booth for over 20 years. She played cards every Saturday night with her friends. A football fan, the Dallas Cowboys were her team. Mary adored her grandchildren and loved the time spent with them and her great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10:15 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic). Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
