Although I’ve known Kelly for a long time, I didn’t know Rick very well. But what I did know of him was his love of life. My fondest memories are the ballgames of Aimee’s son Dylan. He always made my daughter Kayla and I feel welcomed. Not to mention he loved Kayla’s cupcakes. Rick was a great guy who made everyone around him feel like they belonged.

I am not sure there are enough words to express my sympathies to such an amazing man and family. The love shared by all of you is astounding! I’ve known Rick since the Mall days when we all worked somewhere up there. He was always so happy and bubbly and if you were having a bad day as soon as you saw him he just knew how to make you feel better! To Kelly, Alex (Nick) and Eric.. I am so sorry for your loss! People who follow me on fb always saw a witty remark from Rick. We were teenagers in a youth group together and back in those days we probably liked each other but would never admit it. I’ve seen him several times since and it was like I had just seen him the day before. He was one of the brightest, most gentle men I know. Heavens a much happier place now.

Kelly and kids, I knew Rick from childhood. My Copp cousins lived next door. Flood of 72 I spent the summer there. Many good memories with the Emanuel family. Decades later I would work for Rick at the Corning Leader. He was a kind and encouraging individual. So proud of all of you. And those 2 little guys he couldn't get enough of being their Grandpa. We stayed in touch through Facebook. I'm deeply sorry to learn of Rick's passing. I hope you can find comfort in the memories you share. May he always be remembered as a man of integrity, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to so many. Rest in peace my friend.
