Even though I only knew Paul for a very brief moment in time, Paul was like the big brother I never had.
I quickly bonded with Paul over many things, but the best thing was our love of music.
We would have impromptu jam sessions in his basement that given a little more time, would have produced some pretty darn good music!.
We would also reminense over our rebellious early 20's and just laughed liked fools until it hurt.
He quickly knew that I had his back no matter what and I knew he had mine.
A couple days before he got sick, I took him for a test for a procedure he was going to have, and when I dropped him off home, he said "take care my brother, talk to you later". Later never happened, but, I am saving a voice mail i got from him, just so I can hold on to that little piece of him.
Paul, save me a good jam up there for me my brother until I see you again!

As the first child of the Springer children, I was fortunate to see all my cousins grow up and I would always get excited when the Goldseths would drive out to see the Parkers! Time passes, families move and I didn't know him well later in life, but I distinctly remember Paul as a part of those times together when we were younger. I remember him as a man's man...a big, strong imposing figure who kept the fear of God in us kids when we got too rambunctious...but also had a fun and gentle side. I know he will be missed and my prayers go out to those closest to him.

I'm hard pressed to think of a more loving guy than my cousin Paul. A biker: yes. A bit of a rebel: yes. A family man: most definitely yes! Paul did not have an easy start: with his folks separating when he was 4, things could've gone either way. But then there's the matter of "nature versus nurture" to consider. Guided by his dad and dear step-mom, Paul always followed his heart with inherent sensitivity and thoughtfulness. He loved deeply, and he was ever thankful for love in return, which resulted in lifelong, extremely loyal relationships. He had a quick and razor-sharp sense of humor. He was a gifted, skillful woodworker. Eager to help at every turn, his supportive stance never wavered. When one chooses an alternate lifestyle as I did, you kinda sorta wonder how family will react. Paul never missed a beat: we kidded about "my bowling buddy," and he was a rock ... a steadfast ally. That means everything, and says an awful lot about a person. We would linger on the phone for hours at a time, talking about nothing and everything—just about things past and present, and glad to have one another to reminisce and reflect and laugh with—and he ended every call with "Love you guys." I shall miss Paul terribly, but am grateful for the peace he now knows. My heart goes out to Jenny, Josh and Ben ... who have been blessed with a VERY special dad, who embraced his role as Grampy as naturally and lovingly as anyone on this good earth has. His children and grandchildren are his priceless legacy. I'm grateful Carol and Kathy variously enriched his journey across the years, as I witnessed genuine happiness. May his many loved ones celebrate the time he was loaned to us as best they can. Rest in eternal peace Cuz. XOXO "Artie" Parker, and Drew too.

Although Paul and I divorced, I will always treasure the early memories of our life together. Without Paul, I would not have our 3 wonderful children and our 8 beautiful grandchildren.
The whole family will miss Paul, and will never be the same.
I want to add a funny thought I had last night of Paul playing “Sweet Home Alabama” on his harmonica, rocking out heaven- (a different sort of “harp”) :)
Love and condolences to my children, Jenny, Josh, and Ben. To Alyssa, Haylee, Olivia, Maryclare, Zeno, Fredi, Lucas, and Zoey- ALWAYS remember how much your “Grampy” loved you.

Paul you are my oldest friend. We had been friends for 56 years. I enjoyed all of our adventures together. Especially our years of riding together. Sorry about the old green rebel. Its hard knowing you are gone. I will miss you but you will always be in my thoughts. Paul you will always be riding by my side in spirit when on my Harley. You always said keep the shiney side up. You called me " My old buddy Bob. Ride high My Friend, my heart hurts knowing our days together have come to an end!
