Condolences to Connie & all of the Morse Family on their loss... A loss we share in with them, in numbers more than meet any eye...
Bill's gentleness intertwined with an avid intellectual curiosity to explore what drew his interest. And a lot drew Bill's interest - not least of all the growing things of all sorts that he could foster in the ways of his kind attention. To see Bill in his yard on the mission of its upkeep was to see a tiger on the hunt. To see Bill & Connie walking along our town streets was to see two strongly independent persons keeping their kind of 'eye' on the well being of their community, even as it was knit together by their presence in it.
To witness Bill's participation in various not-for-profit enterprises was to be in the presence of true generosity. To witness the laughter Connie & Bill could share in with each other - share with such ease - is to carry along a cherishing of its own, very loving kind.
The paradox is that Bill's silence was worth so much more than any words could possibly replace - just like Bill himself...
May the coming winter remind us all of just how much the gentle warmth of Bill Morse sustains us, through & through...
