Obituary of Jamie J. Hamilton

Jamie J. Hamilton Elmira: Age 31, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 very unexpectedly at home. He was born in Elmira on December 31, 1979 a son of Clifford E. and Nancy (Knapp) Hamilton of Elmira. In addition to his parents Jamie is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Derek and Denise Hamilton of Elmira, with their son Brody and twin daughters, Hailey and Reiley; maternal grandfather Jack Knapp of Elmira; paternal grandfather Clifford E. Hamilton, Sr. of Elmira; aunts and uncles, Thomas and Kathleen Hamilton of Elmira, Linda Hamilton of Horseheads, Patricia and Jerry Sweeney of Cohoes NY; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Mary Jane Knapp and paternal grandmothers, Virginia Hamilton and Jeanne Hamilton. Jamie was an outstanding athlete, an avid Yankee fan, and had a great love of animals. He was a caring and giving person who was loved by those who knew him. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.
