The Fitzgerald family sends our thoughts and prayers!! He will missed. Dad (Robert) always enjoyed the many turkey hunting stories that ‘Billy’ would share with him.
Hugs and prayers to all!

Condolences to Peggy & All the Steed family. I played in the summer baseball league in the late 40's opposite Bill, however it was not until attending Albany College of Pharmacy that I got to know the man.Bill's values stood out at Albany hard working, honest, loyal to family & friends & a commitment to his beliefs. They say that much of life is showing up & Bill did that. A few years ago the college dedicated a Physics Lab to our professor Joe Lapatena. The attendance was to say the least, few, however Bill & Peggy were there. Many times when I attended a funeral in Elmira for an old friend Bill was there in church. Just imagine all the folks who's life Bill touched through his Pharmacist years , listening, & doling out advice. Perhaps thousands. We had many great conversations over the years, about Pharmacy, Farms, Hunting & most of all family. All of us know how Bill loved & cherished his family & was so proud of their accomplishments. If I met a young person looking for a role model , Bill would be at the top of my list.So we are left with our memories & they are good ones, Bill has gone but I will remember him always with a smile. With Sympathy, Jack & Dianne Bernas
