My family were friends of the Steed family many decades ago. My daughters played with Maryanne when they were young. That is when I knew Maryanne. She was the sweetest little girl so I am not surprised that she was a wonderful woman later in her life. In fact the entire Steed family has always been very special. I was so sorry to learn of her death and I will be praying for the entire Kane,Steed family at this time of sadness and sorrow.

Dear family and friends of MaryAnne,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Reading her life story there is no doubt that she was loved and will be greatly missed. During this difficult time I hope you can find a measure of comfort through the pages of Gods word. Revelation 21:4 assures us “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

To the Kane Family: There are no words to express my sorrow at the loss of our beloved MaryAnne...wife, mother, mimi, sister, friend and my kindred spirit. So many decades of great laughs, fun, sorrow...all shared. My heart aches for all of you. May your strong faith and countless memories sustain you in the difficult times ahead. I truly loved MaryAnne for the genuine person and real friend she was to me and so many others.

I met MaryAnne on a school sponsored mother-daughter trip to NYC in 2012. From that moment on, every time our paths crossed at school functions or church services, she always greeted me with a hug and a kiss. She was one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever known. She lived her life as God intended, and was an amazing matriarch of her family. I have a feeling that she was suffering more than she wanted anyone to know and hope that she has peace now that she is with God. Please know that she touched many more lives than you know and she will be remembered in all of our prayers. What a great lady.
