Obituary of Mary Ann Jurusik

Mary Ann Jurusik Elmira: Age 69, passed away peacefully Friday, August 31, 2012 at her home in Murrells Inlet SC. Mary Ann was born June 7, 1943, in Elmira, a daughter of the late Hector and Ellen (Erickson) Lorenzini. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dr. Paul P. Jurusik; cherished sons, and their families, Michael T. and Tracy Jurusik, LaGrange IL, and children Matthew and Emma; Christopher P. and Christine Jurusik, Orchard Park NY, and children, Madeline, Allison, Roman and Christian; Brian A. and Jessica Jurusik, Endicott NY and daughter Kayleigh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard, Sr., and Wanda Lorenzini, Riverside CA, David and Karen Lorenzini, Webster NY; sister Alma Joann Moretti, Silver Spring MD; sisters-in-law, Josephine Colville, Bingham Farms MI, Marjorie Bates, Clifton Park NY, Jean Jurusik, Elmira, Mary Jurusik, Elmira Heights; "Grand Dogs", Buster, Miller, Moose, and Phoebe; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Ann worked for 35 years as the Office Manager at her husband Paul's dental practice. Mary Ann's life revolved around her family. She loved visiting and spending time at the homes of her sons, supporting her children and grandchildren in whatever activities they were involved with. Special times were those spent with family at Keuka Lake, Gravel Lake MI, and Murrells Inlet, SC. In South Carolina Mary Ann enjoyed walking the beach "shelling". Mary Ann was an avid reader, bowled in a league for many years, was a fan of Elvis Presley, and in her travels liked to visit Civil War sites. But always nearest and dearest to her was her family….she will be forever loved and missed. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Elmira Heights.
