"Sis" Age 94, passed away at home, after an extended illness, on Monday, December 4, 2017. She was surrounded by her dear sister, Theresa, and her loving children. Sis was born and raised in Elmira the daughter of Peter and Eva (Fleschhut) Brill. She is predeceased by her husband Robert J. Runyan, brother and sisters-in-law, Francis and Catherine, Dorothy, Shirley and Alberta Brill. Sis is survived by her children, and their families, Martin A. and Charlene Runyan of Elmira, and daughters, Kristen (Ken) Niemczyk and Kathryn (Christopher) Tripodi; Judy A. and Ronald Kintz of Pine City, and daughters, Jennifer (Rick) Vary and Mallory Kintz; John C. and Cheryl Runyan of Elmira Heights, and sons, Joseph and John (Laura) Runyan; David M. and Lee Runyan of Victor NY, and sons, Derek and Jason Runyan, Daniel and David Mills; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Emma, Lilly, Landon, Izzy and Alex; brothers, Raymond Brill of Cleveland OH, Donald Brill of Big Flats; sister Mary Theresa Brill of Elmira; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sis was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends, the more the better. Her love and devotion was evident to all those who knew her. She was a bright light, like a ray of sunshine that radiated out to anyone she came in contact with. Sis was always thinking of others and thanking them for their help. She was grateful for any kindness bestowed upon her, great or small. Sis often showed her appreciation to others by telling them "what a nice personality they had!". Sis had a great love of travel and enjoyed many trips with her family over the years. She especially enjoyed the winters spent in Florida with her brothers and sister. Her adventurous spirit and love of travel took her to many exciting places, Paris in 1975 with her son Marty, along with numerous cruises. Sis enjoyed time on the golf course with her husband Bob. In 1974 she was the first woman to achieve a hole in one at the Mark Twain Golf Course. Sis made a point to say "Love you, Love you, Love you" at every opportunity. Mom, rest in peace! We all "Love you, Love you, Love you", too. Private family services will be held. Those wishing may remember Sis with a donation to CareFirst, 3806 Meads Creek Doad, Painted post NY 14870-9509.
