Elmira: Age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Bethany Manor. Charlie was born in Elmira April 18, 1926, the son of Thomas J. and Rachel (Connelly) Grady. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ann Galvin Grady, brother Thomas Grady, sisters, Catherine Collins, Mildred Grady and Ruth Grady Conklin. Charlie is survived by many nieces and nephews. Charlie worked at Remington Rand for 28 years, the NYS Department of Labor for 2 years, and 16 years with the NYS Insurance Fund from where he retired. He was a life member of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62 and the Eagles Club Lodge #941. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W Water Street, Elmira on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church. Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
