Elmira: Age 56, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse NY. MaryLynn was born March 31, 1957 a daughter of James B. Carrier and the late Ann Reidy Carrier. She is also predeceased by her brother James M. Carrier. MaryLynn is survived by her husband Mark D. Findley, Elmira; children, Jennifer Hartley with Rob Neibergall and her daughter JaeLyn, St. Petersburg FL, Tracy Cowan with husband Matthew and their daughters, Madelyn and Sawyer, Elmira, Jason Hartley with wife Laura, Horseheads; step-children, Jason Findley with Kayla Beach and their son Tanner, Elmira, Maureen Findley, Camp Lejeune NC, Megan Findley with Ivan Castro and their children, Adriana and Christian, Elmira; parents, James B. and Kathleen (Reidy) Carrier; siblings, Cathy Carrier with Tim Clark, Caton NY, Kevin and Kathy Carrier, Sayre PA, Stephanie Carrier, Elmira, Peter and Patti Carrier, Elmira; sister-in-law Susie Carrier, Horseheads; special uncle and aunt, John and Marcia Reidy, Corning; father-in-law and mother-in-law Don E. and Mary Jo Findley, South Bend, IN; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. MaryLynn was a 1975 graduate of Elmira Free Academy. She worked as a teacher with Schuyler County Head Start for 21 years and for the past 3 years was a clinical nursing assistant at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. MaryLynn enjoyed camping, sewing, scrap-booking with her best friend Heather, sleepovers with her grandchildren, and had a special love for animals. A doting "nana" her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Private interment will be in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember MaryLynn with a donation to National MarFan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington NY 11050.
